Literature / Copper Plates / Inscriptions
  • Dear Friends,

Any book dealing with History will start that Historical evidences
are collected from the Literature (more flowery ) - Copper plates
(Less flowery) and Inscriptions (more realistic).

Meykeerthis were introduced in the inscriptions by RR Chozha.
Meykeerthis - flowery in praising the abilities of the King.
Regarding conquests I do not think some one add the naadu which he
has not conquered. atleast not RR or his son.

Setha's outline on CPs is very good beginning. Should serialise and
    be filed.

Uma's suggestion is very much constructive.

We should discuss this in detail.

Looks our recent Thanjai trip is a POSITVE MILESTONE..

  • Thanks to Swetha who has shown the minor difference in the Meykeerthi
taken from the 3 different chola kalvettu. Anybody have idea of how
it differs from other Panidya, Pallavas? Why does it have the same
    pattern?
