in filming " gone with the wind" the scene was a warfield after a war. each extra ( acting as a dying man on the field) on the battlefield had to shake a cotton filled dummy also to cut down costs
Hi sri what a field day a good(!) director would have with the battle where vijayalaya without legs fighting from the shoulder of a paluvettaraiyar clan member. I think ponniyin selvan is an emotion filled novel rather than one with actions.only top class acting will justify the story. and the screen play should be a little hurried up for today's generation.
