    first about bad luck we have thrashed it out

    the second one is about the shadow not falling outside the vimanam

    the third is the statue of the european with a hat on the vimanam

    how did it come about

    Shadow is not falling outside the vimana is not true.

    If u go to the temple around 12 'O clock noon. U can see the shadow of
    whole vimana...

    Some time before, Madan answered the same question with the snap of the
    shadow of vimana in "hai madan" article in anantha vikatan.



    But I don't know about the statue of the European or British on the
    vimana. I am eagerly waiting to know the answer.

    The story I heard is that it is that of an Italian soldier who saved someone
    while work was going on during the Nayakars' time. The then king was so
    pleased he had the relief installed.

    Well it may not be true - but sure adds to flavor of the place, after
    all legends are partly fact and partly fiction or pun a phrase -
    Legends are partly shadows that fall and partly that do not.
