MGR wanted to make a film on Ponniyin Selvan, and he wanted to act as Raja Raja Chozhan, so Kamal Haasan. Both of them could not succeed. Atlast, it was decided to be shot as a Tele-serial, 2 individual teams shooting the same story, one launched by Kamal Haasan. Does anyone know what happened to those serials?
Dear PSvaasigalae, The best we can do for not spoiling such a GEM is not to let them in the screens. If needed, they should be made as a animated films with the same characters and paintings that PS has in its original that gave lively feeling to Kalki's Best. Like Ramayana, PS can also be made to screens but in the form of animations that has the same pictures and characters. It is very hard. But it should be in that way so that, even kids can enjoy. Nowadays, even kids are not aware of Ramayana also. Atleast we had Ramayana and Mahabharatha as Teleserials in Hindi that were really nice and we liked those serials. Still many of them were aware of those epics because of that teleserials also. Likewise, now PS cannot be made in its pure form as now in this industry, they have so much of politics...
I have read somewhere that, some people r making an animation movie in tamil. The same group of people r think of making PS as animation movie as well.
