But almost the whole article is incorrect. The author has written something without doing proper research.
I have read Kudanthai Sethuraman's original article as well - which started this controversy. The whole thing is nothing more than a story.
Dr.Kalaikkovan - along with PS group members Kamal and ram, undertook a visit to Udaiyaloor to find out the truth and found that there was no base to this story. I hope he will write his findings in dinamani as an answer to this article.
The palkulathamman inscription talks only about a pillar which was originally a part of Rajaraja's palace - that's all. The shiva temple does not talk about pallipadai either.
Dear Gokul Thanks ! Actually i posted that article...to get true informations. Now i'm free from those confusions.Where is Rajakesari? Hope u'll post it soon.
>>>We are yet to find the great king's pallipadai.
I give below the contents of the Brahmadesam Inscription from the former North Arcot region, of the 26th year, day 120, of Rajadhiraja Chola - 1 (260 of 1915)which is as follows:
"The assembly which met under a tamarind tree sold land for a water- pandal for quenching the thirst of the king Sri Udaiyar Rajendra Choladeva and queen Viramahadeviyar who is said to have entered the supreme feet of Brahma in the very same tomb in which the body of king Rajendra Chola was interred. The gift was by senapati Madhurantakan alias Parakesari Velar who was the brother of the queen"
