In the opinion of one author it certainly has I have just completed Edward Luce's Inspite of the Gods.. A non fictional account of India's rise by a English Financial Times Correspondant. I would recommend it as a must read...Agreed there are a few errors here and there but it was an eyeopener....It was nice to see the progress and achievements of Tamilnadu highlighted... I wasn't aware that Victoria's secrets were made in Madras, Elsivier's scientific journals were compiled and edited in Madras...Amonst others... Kind Regards Sri
