This is to share our thoughts and clarification with you & with other members.VT is traveling from Thiruviyaru to Tanjore. Kalki says that VT is crossing 4 Rivers by following Nandhini's pallaku so what are all those 4 Rivers. (Book 1, 21st Chapter -The Curtains Parted).
So we need that 4 Rivers Name and its full details.
The Answer is in PS Volume-1, Chapter-14. குடந்தை நகரிலிருந்து தஞ்சாவூர் செல்வோர் அந்தக் காலத்தில் அரிசலாற்றங்கரையோடாவது காவேரிக் கரையின் மேலாவது சென்று, திருவையாற்றை அடைவார்கள். அங்கிருந்து தெற்கே திரும்பித் தஞ்சாவூர் போவார்கள். வழியிலுள்ள குடமுருட்டி, வெட்டாறு, வெண்ணாறு, வடவாறு நதிகளைத் தாண்ட அங்கே தான் வசதியான துறைகள் இருந்தன.

We thank you for the reply regarding the 5 rivers and our Rewinda Team have raised an another question that is how does VT travel from Arisalaru to Tanjore by following Nandhini's Ratham, what is the route map of his travel, weather he crosses the 4 rivers or kalki doesn't explain about this. please explain it.
Dear Rewinda team, Here is the information I know about the Arasalaaru (not sure about Arisalaaru though! ) river that flows thro thanjavur district.
Up to my best knowledge,
Cauvery diverges into Cauvery and Arasalaaru near a small village called Mettutheru (which is 18 kms from Thiruvaiyaru en route to Kumbakonam).
This river runs thro Papanasam, Thiruvilanjchuzhi, Kumbakonam and reaches the sea @ Nagooor. (I am unclear about the river's route from Kumbakonam to Nagoor I can verify that tomorrow with my parents and let you know - I hope our members might be able to help you!)
Dear PS members please pardon/correct me If I am wrong in the above references towards places or the river name!
What is interesting is - almost the reverse of the route is taken by Malikgafur from Chidambaram to Thirukkandiyur - Kallanai - Srirangam !
It is Papanasam (Pullamangai ) to Kandiyur (southern bank ) - Thiruvaiyaru (Northern bank) route !
If he crossed Cauvery, he reaches Thiruvaiyaru... I think he takes south at Thiruvaiyaru and moves towards Thanjai - ( Thirukandiyur -Pallaykkararam - Karunthattangudi -Thanjai outer - North).
