We thank you for the reply regarding the 5 rivers and our Rewinda Team have raised an another question that is how does VT travel from Arisalaru to Tanjore by following Nandhini's Ratham, what is the route map of his travel, weather he crosses the 4 rivers or kalki doesn't explain about this. please explain it so that it will be easy to sketch the Background in the story.
Hi, In the chapter-21 Kalki describes the beauty of Thiruvaiyaaru with a sambanthar paadal. VD started from Kumakonam and meets Kundavai & Co near arisilaaru after that he travels along kaveri river to thiruvaiyaaru. Kalki has just mentioned crossing of four rivers, but didnt give much details on it.
FYI, the arisilaru bifucates from Kaveri somewhere in between thiruvaiyaaru and kumbakonam. Kumakonam is located in between Kaveri and arisilaru.
If you go along any of this two rivers (in between Kaveri and Arisilaru) you need to cross arisilaru where it bifurcates. Our VD takes the route along south of Kavery, because in the above mentioned chapter VD was thinking to stay in thiruvaiyaru by crossing the river (Vada karaiku pogalaam ena).
But to my knolwdege kalki didnt mention anywhere when VD crosses Kaveri and arisilaru. He starts from Kadambur crosses Kollidam, then he meets Kundavai & Vanathi and Kudanthai Jothidar house. Arisilaru is small but not Kaveri. I think Kalki would not have considered the crossing of Kaveri as important one, comapared to Kollidam river because Kollidam is more than 1 km wide.
