The Pallava Cheppedukal & Pandiyar Cheppedukal have been grouped together and available in Print, except for a few which has been left out or discovered later.
But unfortunately no History Scholars have still taken the initiative to group all "medieval Chola Cheppedukal", and put it a book form for the easy access and use by the new "young history students" and "new young researchers" in this field.
Trust a Scholar with interest in connection with same, will venture into this Project - at least to bring out a book only with the Tamil text of these inscriptions and the Tamil translations of the Sanskrit sections of these Cheppedukal, without any critical study or notes.
The interest and reason for me to keep digging this subject is I read elsewhere somebody asking the following: {I quote directly}
"Where are the tamil inscriptions in stone on the western shores...where are the ruins of tamil architecture on the western shores...where is the hint of a tamil pysche anywhere in the population of present day kerala be they namboodiris or a pulayan....keep dreaming of a non existent tamil empire....from coast to coast."
Usually humans have the habit of extolling virtues of the self and ridiculing the enemies, aliens/foreigners. Scholars in the past praised lavishly the Kings as they had a motive. So only discerning and knowledgeable people like you can help us laymen out.
There are some unpublished inscriptions .. in the big temple ..
As most of us are aware, there are TWO MAIN ENTRY GOPURAMS - the first one is known as KERALANTHAGAN THIRUVAYIL ... the Second one is known as RAJARAJAN THIRUVAYIL..
Big temple is a very complicated temple, very much UNIQUE in nature !
