Lies on the Net.
  • Dear All
Having started the discussion on how relevant the details on the www
    are......

this is the description on periya koil in the World heritage centres
site in the UNESCO..which describes Rajaraja as the founder of the
    chola empire

    http://whc.unesco.org/sites/250.htm

    Brief description:
The great Temple of Tanjore (Thanjavur) was built between 1003 and
1010 in the reign of the great King Rajaraja, founder of the Chola
Empire which stretched over all of South India and the neighbouring
islands. Surrounded by two rectangular enclosures, the Brihadisvar
(built from blocks of granite and, in part, from bricks) is crowned
with a pyramidal 13-storey tower, the vimana, standing 61 m high and
topped with a bulb-shaped monolith. The walls of the temple are
    covered with rich sculptural decoration.

    What do you think folks

  • Dear All,

Can we not write to Webmasters these sites and point out the mistakes in
    thier site with authentic information?
  • Dear Ramani

thats exactly my point I suspect the otheres have been quite busy to
    take notice of that.

If a site like UNESCO gives erranious message and forget the numerous
    wwws

I think we should do something about that
