I call Vanathi Wimpy Vanathi. Even to bash someone there needs to be some uppu/puli/kaaram in the character..Really make a watercolor painting and wash it down, that is how her character looks to me.
Poonguzhali now she is interesting. She is a real good mix of idealism and pragmatism/very courageous and outspoken, and very smart. She is perhaps the only girl who goes out into jungles and seas alone, now that is an achivement for a woman to this day. She aspires to be RRJ's queen but understands later on the impracticality of her dreams, and fate makes her queen anyway!!
I credit her most of all with the only character who brings out the human/natural side of Kalki's flat goody goody RRJ. He confesses liking her, albeit in feverish stupor, beyond all societal odds of being king and fisherwoman!!
Not exactly Ravi. Poonguzhali can be termed a split personality (ayyo yaravathu Natarajan Srinivasan sir kitternthu enna kapathunga).
Shes one character who makes you feel different at different point of time. Sometimes you love her bravery, sometimes admire her guts and some times she irritates you like anything

if sigmund freud was around to analyse rrc's dream he would break most of our assumptions. if dreams are a mirror of our subconciouse then rrc was in love with poongkuzhali and hated kunthavai for thrusting vanathi on him.
