kalki seems to have visited both ajantha and ellora with artis maniam. exact dates not available but it was during his sivakamiyin sabatham days. his articles on these visits is in a collection called." nam thanthaiyar seytha vinthaikal". will try to lay my hands on it.
Kalki did visit Ajanta caves and that's why we get first hand info on the vagora river flowing down the valley. One can see the river from the top. I had seen the caves about ten years ago on a visit to Aurangabad. Unfortunately could not devote more than the better part of a day to view the magnificent paintings. Kalki had also visited Lanka with Mali. He had produced a lot of essays on his visit in, If I'm not mistaken, in Ananda Vikatan. "Ponniyin Pudalvar" of Sunda has all these details.
