I fully agree with Madam, who is one of the sernior most since beginning, retd Government Senior official - now living abroad and a renowned writer by herself, who established communications with Magic Lantern Group which enacted PS Drama, and organised Vikraman- meet, who, being ardent fan of Kalki himself wrote Vandhiyathevan Vaall etc.
There are several other literary Forums which provide platforms for experiementing short-stories / poems etc.
With restriction in use of Tamil font by most of us, including me, let us remember that some GOOD ARTICLES while written exclusively in Tamil and posted in our Group is likely to get lost.
Let us see the reactions from majority of members for such postings.
I think this group is fine, unless some one wants to set up a full fledged website with a discussion forum etc. I would really like to do that some day with the older members who have painstakingly set things up here and maintained things all this while.
Migrating to google groups will be a huge exercise and I think fairly pointless as anyone wishing to receive the mails in gmail can do so in any case.
I had set up a group in google called ponniyinselvanforever . I think anyone that wants to use it for discussions with Tamil fonts etc can do so.
