my only aprehension is that sucha long serial like that of ponniyin selvan should come in such a political forum. the worry is about its prolonged continuity in today's charged atmosphere both in television and politcal fields.
I hope the novel is not murdered in the serial. This happens often when a story is made into a visual idea. Graphics help can be taken now to replicate the ship on fire and VD alone tied to the flag-pole and enjoying the fury of nature when he thinks his final moment has come, but what is important for the serieal maker is to be truthful to Kalki's depiction and not make the serial into a drag as is the case with all these so-called mega serials and tear-jerkers.
