it was more oriented to the literary aspects of our group and we had an opportunity to go indepth in ps again.
that is something we dont have much of an opportunity to do in the group these days where people talk more of of epigraphy and iconography.
we discussed ponniyin selvan, the scene of aaditya karikalans murder and took a vote on who could held the hilt of the sword that killed him. we also talked about the greatness of the chalukyas . sankaran briefed us on the three chola heirs to the throne who were murdered, and how kulothungan needled his way to the throne. he seemed rather angry that kuluthungan had been compared to rrc in these columns. sivaram, seenu,madan along with chandra, muruganandam, sathish, sankaran and myself attended.
the menu was sundal, sukku cofee, cauliflower, vaalakkai and chilly bajji.
