SPS informed that the latest JV carries an article on Mysore inscriptions. I do not have an id in vikatan.com - if anybody has it pl upload the article
First, we need to have more trained professional epigraphists. For that, a certified course as we discussed in our previous meeting might help. We should meet JV reporters and appraise them of the meeting we had and our proposals. If that appears in the coming weeks edition and the course is formalized by the Kanchi university, more scholars could be produced.
Second, some political-cum-technical influence can bring it under our control. With the reach of some of our group members, if we can influence some political brass, they can call the Mysore people over the phone and instruct them to "open the doors", if there is any resistance by throwing some "options"
Third, our group should bring the unprinted inscriptions on the net or on the CDROM for availability to scholarly world...
Above all, we should become a registered society and have some money to make this happen. If we want this to make happen, people should participate.
I have uploaded it as pdf file in files section, as they (vikatan) asked for payment for reaching the link, eventhough I had an user ID. I bought the book, scanned and uploaded the article.
I have uploaded it as jpeg files in photos section as the pdf files didn't get loaded properly. They (vikatan) asked for payment for reaching the link, eventhough I had an user ID. I bought the book, scanned and uploaded the article.
