Very interesting how different languages use very similar metaphors. If you had told me just the word/phrase "NAADAGA-MAYIL", I would have taken it to mean simply a dancing peacock. Thanks for giving context around it, now I know what it really means.
BTW, the term Drama Queen is used frequently in the US to describe young, teen girls. I find it interesting that you'd use it for Vaanathi. Muthu Prakash wrote some time back that her behavior was a reflection of her young age, probably teenage.
Connecting the dots, from Kalki to Muthu Prakash to Dhiwakar, I think I'm beginning to like Vaanathi more. I know this was not the effect Dhiwakar hoped for when he wrote that word, but once you put the words drama queen and Vaanathi next to each other, all her actions make so much more sense to me. I used to think that she was an annoying character, always fainting etc. But now I understand that Kalki was a superb observer of human behavior.
