Saubrah, I also doubt if the lion had anything to do with Draupathi Ratha. Lion, Bull and the elphant are placed at different places. The lion does not look at the temple or the god in the sanctum as it is typically done.

Kathie, Vaikundaperumal koil's main deity is Vasudeva, He is flanked on the outer walls of the inner prakara by Samkarsana, Aniruddha and Pradyumna. Samba has not been sculpted anywhere.

There are quiet a few of the surviving bronzes from the Pallava period (Note Period) . Natesa from Kuram, Thiruvalangadu Somaskanda, Vishwaparana of Kilappandur are some good specimens of this period.
