Golappan here. I am from madurai presently working dubai. I never had interests in reading books. But, after reading Ponniyin Selvan i forgot all other interests. I read already 2 times the novel, now started reading its sequel Nandhipurathu Nayagi. Bought the novel Udayar, after completing NN will start Udayar; Thnx to the writers, Kalki, Akilan, & Vembu Vikraman their writings portrayed the characters in front of our eyes. Proud to be a tamizhan, but felt bad & unlucky b'coz, i couldn't able to see people like Rajaraja Chozhar, Vanadhi, Ilaya prattiyar Kundhavai Nachiyar, Vandhiyadevan, Adhitha Karikalar, Anirudha brahmarayar, Aazhvarkadiyan, Poongkuzhali, Mandhagini devi, Nandhini, Pazhuvettaraiyar. Venghaiyin Maindahn from Akilan also a worth reading novel. Its hero is Rajendra Chozhan s/o Rajaraja chozhar, in this novel i loved Kodumbalur Ilavarasan Elangoval, he is the man behind later success of Rajendra chozhar.
Now, i am planning to visit the places were our chozhars been to. Don't know what happened to Uraiyur, Pazhaiyarai's palace, will check with scholars who were into this research, if any of you have some info, plz do share here.
