Do anyone know which is the biggest temple in terms of area in Tamilnadu ?
I heard Rameswaram temple is the biggest. After going there I think that will be slightly smaller than varadharaja perumal koil in kanchipuram. I also checked in google maps. Rameswaram temple is slightly smaller than varadharaja perumal koil.
Is there any other temple bigger than these temples in Tamilnadu ?
I compared the sizes of these temples ( sriranagam, kanchi varadaraja, rameshwaram ) from google maps. Kanchi & srirangam are almost similar in size. ( srirangam is slightly on higher side ). I have attached the screenshot in the file.
sir, difficult to say. many temples include the town around into their campus. srirangam is an example. if you exclude the town areas( even if the rajakopuram is at the entrance of the town) the estimations will be different. chidambaram temple has 44 acres. it is the largest temple in south india. gandhi
