Madras Club - Do not wear Dhoti Inside

    What a shame
    Men wearing Dhoti are not allowed inside the Madras Club which is one of the
    oldest Club in Chennai. The important rule as part of the Dress Decorum in
    Madras Club is you cannot wear Dhoti

    Is this true ?

    Can anyone probe on it ?

    If it is true, it appears that, if someone is found in those 'desi' attires, they will be caught and handed over to 'British Cultural Police'!

    I have my own doubts about this. I have been to the MRC and I once found the Chettiar himself sitting there wearing a dhoti!
