  • Vairam,
Very good information. As usual, you have been tabling great information on Tamil. Continue your march. All the very best.
  • DEAR VAIRAM.

EXCELLENT. VERY USEFUL. TO BE PRESERVED.

YOU ARE RENDERING GREAT SERVICE TO THE LANGUAGE.

YESTERDAY IN THE JAYA-TV TELECAST PROGM -
Pazha. KARUPPAIAH and Nanjil SAMPATH mentioned ::

RE Worship of God - there are views of Agreement/s and Disagreement/s.

But elevating OUR MOTHER LANGUAGE to the LEVEL OF GOD (ALMIGHTY)
and WORSHIPPING - NO DISAGREEMENT WHATSOEVER.

Likewise Elevating our Mother Land (Soil - Mann) -
to the Level of God and Worshipping : NO DISAGREEMENT.

Thus services to Lanauge need to be considered as those
    rendered to the Almighty !

DEFINITELY THE YOUNGSTER GROUP - Yourself - Vijay - Satheesh (omissions inadvertant) ARE ROLE MODELS to the Present day Youth of Our Soceity !

I couldn't resist adding this. "vayadil iLam, thondil kizham"; these
guys including those left out inadvertently are doing an excellent job
and deserve a big 'shottu'. I do miss the light but incisive postings of
    abhivenkat.

  • Wonderful dear Vairam,

an excellent blend of Classical Tamil dictions with
    colloqueal usage !!

    Dear Katherine,

Too classical to be translated ..

It is Tamil Word Game - related to certain Tamil words having more than one meaning !!

Eg: A home collapses if the Cross beams ( UTHIRAM ) give way ..

Star Hastham reaches Zenith because of the movement of this Star UTHIRAM ! (Uthiram means Cross Beams at higher level and a Star also )

Vairam has brought this out very nicely in his blog which he is sharing.

    thanks dear.

    sps
