Today I had a detailed (tele) talk with Dr. Nagaswamy. following is the gist ::
Dr. Nagaswamy found the " ponmeyvithan " inscription .. when Dr, Kudavoil was inside the Temple... of course both thrilled when he also saw it with Dr. Ngswmy.
Later ASI personal & few other Scholars saw .. discounted...
I have seen the page published in " Thanjai" by Dr. KvB.
It appeared on Print media as well...
Kudavoil Sir personally showed this to us - PS Group - while toured the bigtemple a couple of years back ! The details are avl in our archieves ..
The Rajaraja chola devar .. portion was "feeble" .. today we can see "pon" porition..clearly...meyvithan .. deduce ...
But today Dr. nagaswamy told that the inscription is published in the Annual Report of Epigraphy !! That is news !!
SPS uncle, Thanks a lot for confirming the informations with Dr.Nagasamy and Kudavasal uncle. So, Ponmeivithan inscriptions was found by Dr.Nagasamy and Kudavasl uncle was with him and both were thrilled on the founding. What I have already put in was correct. Thanks again. Madhu
