  • Very informative, thanks.
  • KAN considers this as a legend and not history. But KAN almost
believed in Aryan Invasion Theory, and so it Sarvapalli Radhakrishna.
Point is we ought to take historians take with some skepticism.

But it would be always illuminating to see how the number 8,000 was
arrived at. Mr.Kailaasanaathan's take of 'ennaayiram' to be a place's
    name is interesting.
  • I read Pallava Mohini (I think this books author is Goutham Neelambaram).
In tht Pandya king explained to Chalukya King.."There was not 8000 jains killed. Few jains are killed in the place ENNAYIRAM which is near to madurai.Thn this matter gets like pandiyan gave punishment for ennayiram jains like tht."

This much i can remeber form tht novel. If im wrong..pls clear me.

  • Hi all,

I found these murals in srirangam and thiruvanekaval. I think taking photos
of murals is not a advisable thing to do. I simply couldnt resist the
beauty, also the thought that they would not last long enough prompted me to
take a pic of the murals.

You can find them at the link below.

Was reminded of them when I read this thread.
