But it would be always illuminating to see how the number 8,000 was arrived at. Mr.Kailaasanaathan's take of 'ennaayiram' to be a place's name is interesting.
I read Pallava Mohini (I think this books author is Goutham Neelambaram). In tht Pandya king explained to Chalukya King.."There was not 8000 jains killed. Few jains are killed in the place ENNAYIRAM which is near to madurai.Thn this matter gets like pandiyan gave punishment for ennayiram jains like tht."

I found these murals in srirangam and thiruvanekaval. I think taking photos of murals is not a advisable thing to do. I simply couldnt resist the beauty, also the thought that they would not last long enough prompted me to take a pic of the murals.
