Every sadhaya vizha we need a new activity in the name of Emperor Rajaraja Cholan like these.
1. Running a monthly day tour of Chola Day Out covering Uraiyur, Kallanai, Thanjavur, Kumabakonam, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Poompuhar, Gangaigonda Cholapuram and return to Trichy.
Commercial activity wouldn't harm the integrity of our group as long as trust maintained in our PSVP trust.
After successful year it may be promoted weekly. This will bring us more activities. This might be promoted to the schools and other education institutes. Very large potential there.
2. Media entry. Covering our activities in youtube.com and possibly TV.
3. Temple maintenance on task basis. eg. A temple cleaning and day pooja/prasadam could be a task undertaken by a remote thondar/bakthar.
These are all could lead us actively participating rather seldom emailing in our group.
Dear All, Regarding temple cleaning and maintaining, we already have REACH FOUNDATION a registered trust and extended bidy of our PS group. Dr.T.Satyamurthy and our SPS (SB) are trustees. I only wish PS members identify and send reach the details of ruined temples in and around your village with the following details:- Name of the temple: Name of the swami: Name of the goddess: Period : If known Inscriptions if any : Yes/ No Land mark: Rail/road route. Contact person and his number in the place for discussing further development of the temple: emailof any local person:(if available) photos of the temple (if possible to be sent through email it is OK, otherwise, you can send hard copy to reach's address.
It is told that some 4000 temple are in ruins within T.Nadu. If all PS member take care of 1 temple and get in funds, freinds for work, contactlocal Uzhavarappani guys within the village, that would renovate 1400 temple straight away! Looks like a wild dream, but can be a reality if we call chip in.
We need framework which could channelize funding materializes the dream.
We need a activity that will propel the framework as long as the activity goes.
Online internet will visualize what is going on and encourages participants fund the task.
Day tour program around of Chola capitals/temples would be a wonderful activity promoting the message we are trying through PSVP. The profit could go to REACH, schools, charities.
Our PSVP members travel with their families and friends once in a year can easily give a good startup.
We can introduce this tour to schools and colleges.
Many wonder involving commercial activities but materializing something using our potential makes everyone involved.
