Dear Thilak Atleast someone else knows that I am not a very serious person and that person has known me for 28 years so he cant be right. Most if not all Public libraries have Kalkis worksAll the Govt Schools have them in the library The other option is making PS and Sivakamiyin Sabadham as comics like Amarchithra Katha...artists like maniam selvan can take this on and they could be serialised or published as books. I recently saw Mahabharat as 3 volumes in Higgibotham as comic serialisation If mahabharat can be done PS and SS can be done...If there is an artist or animationist I am happy to text it to the level of preschool to 2nd standard kids it can be done in tamil and english.... Imagine Ponniyin Selvan like Mahabharat or Ramayana or even archies and arabian nights kids will love it Any takers Sridhar
Sridhar - I've been thinking about this for quite some time. With the help of latest graphics tools available - it is quite possible to bring out PS as a comic. Atleast you need not draw the pictures for each and every frame - all replication work can be done easily and corrections are also simple. I've tried this with something else (a project of mine called Tales from Indian Mythology) - it did work. Though I did'nt bring it to the print medium, I'm sure this can be done. Inspite of this advantage, PS will still be a big challenge - considering the background artwork involved. The above technique helps characters - but not much on backgrounds. Tools like Bryce may be useful. One more thing. I feel this is not just for children - but for adults too. You'll be surprised how popular "Lion Comics" and "Muthu Comics" are - among the adults in TNadu ! ( I know this because I'm also a comics fan!!)
Me too a comic fan folks. I had also thought about this sometime ago. Actually the indian animation giant Pentamedia has all the resources to do it. The story line is amazing and fit to be made into an animation series or atleast comics series. I think I am day dreaming here. Sridhar ok'va? BTW Gokul can we view your Indian mythology effort?

The initiative for bringing PS as cartoon is already started. Myself and Mr. Sundar Bharadwaj are going to discuss with Director Shankar and other graphic designers after our Chozha Kingdom conference.
We are planning for making an audio version of PS also.
