The following things are required to enjoy the trip better.
1. Powerful torch lights
In GKC, Pullamangkai and Thiruvalanjuzhi, the important parts will be dark and require torches. 2 or 3 will be enough. Better if they are rechargeable.
2. Laser light
This will be useful to point out the locations of vimana/sculptures/paintings which we cannot reach.
3. Water sprayer
While taking photos of the sculptures and reading the inscription, pouring the water will give better clarity. If anybody have the sprayer for cleaning the two/four wheelers, please bring them. Otherwise, it is sold outside the petrol bunk near Trident / Radisson hotel in GST road. Please buy one and will be useful for future trips also.
4. Tripod
One will be enough for everyone. If anybody can bring it, please let me know. Otherwise, i will arrange for it.
5. Magnifying glasses
Though the zoom facility in the camera can be used, a good magnifying glass will be much helpful for appreciating the paintings and sculptures better.
6. VCDs
Please bring the Mudhal yaathirai VCD since most of the people wouldn't have seen that. Or if you have any other VCDs related to our trip, (for ex, the movie Rajaraja Chozhan) please bring them also as the bus is video coach.
7. Questionnaire.
Someone please consolidate the questions to ask the scholars we will meet. I think Swetha is already doing something on this. Please confirm.
Water can be purchased during the breakfast on saturday.

Good list. Reg. Video. Sorry to say this, the agent called me sometime back and said, Video in long journey is being prohibited by authorities and so it might not be possible. (but how come we had it in our Kanchi-mamallapuram tript?)..I thought, anyway no one will be interested in video during travel as everyone will be busy discussing more importatnt things. So said its ok. If anyone has a portable walkman t ype vcd player, i think we can use it in the room.
Sorry if I have disappointed you folks. If we get a video coach nothing like it. I will try talking to the agent again.
Tripod, will we use it to that extent. atha thookingdu sutharathu erukke, maha kodumai. max. 2 shotukku use pannuvom. If you really need I can bring. :)
