Last week i have visited one sivan temple in Mappedu it was built by Aditya Karikala, elder brother of Rajaraja-I. Inscriptions found that the temple built by him on 967 A.D. It is also birth place of Thalavai Ariyanatha Mudaliar who served as Chief Minister in vijayanagara empire.
