Dream PS team
  • Dear all...

Waare wah! Sreeram, the casting- particularly the Hollywood part of it was
cool:-) My half a cent's worth- we could put in Sivakumar(when he was young)
    for Arulmozhi's part.

As for Manirathnam directing PS- right from the time the story starts, from
the midnight conference in Kadambur- everything will be in darkness. All the
conversations will be in fits and starts, and characters will talk with
    curious jerks. Example:

When Kundavai meets VD in the siraisaalai (3rd paagam), and swears on her
    love to him:

The place is in darkness. Sounds of tigers growling, and gaurds talking in
the distance. Kundavai's face can be seen dimly, beyond the bars. VD is
staring at her out of wide eyes. Perspiration gleams on his forehead.

    Kundavai: onnu theriyumaa?

    VD: enna? enna?

    Kundavai: maattom. nenaikka maattom.

    VD (blinks): enna solringa? aang?

    K: puriyalai?
(she lowers her head and suddenly grins)

K: ungalai nenaicitten. vera yaaraiyum nenaikka maatten.

    VD (dumbstruck): aaahhh...

    K: enna purushaa? okvaa?

    VD faints.

    ***********

:-)))Not that Manirathnam won't do a good job out of it. He has his good
points (alaipayuthe is one of my all-time favourites). This conversation was
just a joke, so Sreeram, please don't take offense.:-)

Sathya ma'am...ada, 1,2,3 sonna udane vanthittengale? ungalukkuthaan 1st
    prize.:-)))
  • Pavi,

I understand your point. Especially mani writing
dialogue for movie like P.S is the last thing can
happen. That's why i put Madhan instead Mani for
dialogue. I liked the way madhan handled historical
conversations in "Vandhargal Vendrargal". Guess what
after seeing all these conversations i thought i will
read poniyin selvan once again so ordered through net.
I will be getting it here in a week or two. Keeping my
fingers crossed to get it soon.
  • Dear all...

Sreeram, Sridhar...thanks:-) now I'm beginning to wonder what it'll be like
    if TR directed it!

One bit of news...this concerns the trip. Its been decided that instead of
halting at Chidambaram on the night of Feb 6th (as originally planned), we
halt at Mayavaram. The GM of the hotel we've booked there is coming along on
    the trip.
  • Hi all,

That's a good casting by shantha. But i don't accept
T.R Rajakumari for nandhini. When kalki talks about
nandhini, he says that everbody fell for nandhini
because she looks very beautiful. Even Athitha
Karikalar says, If vanithiyathevan has not seen
kundhavai first he also could have fell for nandhini.
So i did Ash as casting for nandhini. Any comment guys
    :-)
  • Hi,
I prefer SS.vasan who directed Parthiban Kanavu, Vanjokottai Valibhan, etc.,.
    Some of the CAST
  • Sorry Sreeram

I hate to disagree...when casting you want them to suit the charecter...

mostpeople chose TR Rajakumari because she had the beauty...a devilish charm if I may say so..

kalki says that very effectively when periya paluvettarayar compares nandhini and kundavai.

.he says'' Kundavai can make on feel in heaven....but nandhinis beauty is one step ahead she can tell a person on hell that he is in heaven and make him beleive it.

That charecter is not physical beuty alone but a strong inner personality as well..thats why my choices were TRR and Ramya Krishnan

    Bye

    Sridhar
  • Hi,

This comparison between Kundhavai and Nandhini is done
by Aazhvaarkadiyaan. He says this to Vanthiyathevan
just before they both are about to meet Arulmozhi in
    Tampallai buddhist punniya kshetram.
