Consecration of Siva temple at NALLADAI
The consecration of Sri Akhilandeswari sametha Sri Agasthiswaraswamy temple at Nalladai (close to Koohur village in Thiruvidaimarudur taluk) of Thanjavur district on 8th July, 2012 (Nandana year Aani 24th), with the blessings of the Guru maha sannidhanams of Thiruvavaduthurai, Velakurichi and Nachiarkoil. The main lingam which was without formal worship has now part of a temple structure which has come up due to the untiring efforts of the villagers and Sri Thiruvadikudil Swamigal. The yagasala pujas are set to commence from 6th July accompanied by Veda and Thirumurai parayanams. Please see the attached invitation for further details and photos of the site.

>அடியார் கூட்டம் அருள்வாய் >ஆங்கிலப்புத்தாண்டை முன்னிட்டுப் பல ஆலயங்கள் நள்ளிரவில் திறக்கப் படுகின்றன. பக்தர்கள் கூட்டம் அலை மோதுகிறது. நமக்கும் ஆங்கிலப் புத்தாண்டுக்கும் என்ன சம்பந்தம் என்பது வேறு விஷயம். ஆண்டு முழுவதும் நல்லதாகவே நடைபெறவேண்டும் என்று அவரவர்கள் பிரார்த்திக்கிறார்கள். இதற்காகவாவது வருகிறார்களே என்று நினைக்க வேண்டியிருக்கிறது. புதிய ஆண்டில் நாம் என்ன செய்ய இருக்கிறோம் என்று தீர்மானிப்பவர்கள் சிலரே. அதிலும் இறை பணிக்காக என்ன செய்ய இருக்கிறோம் என நினைப்பவர்கள் மிக மிகச் சிலரே. அதைவிட, ஆண்டு முழுவதும் இதே சிந்தனையோடும் செயல் பாட்டோடும் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருப்பவர்கள் அருமையிலும் அருமை. அப்படிப்பட்ட ஒருவரை அறிமுகம் செய்து வைப்பதில் பெருமகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறேன். > > >நான்குறிப்பிடும் இவர் , பூஜைகள் நடைபெறாத சிவாலயங்களைக் கண்டு மனம் வருந்துவதோடு, அங்கு பூஜைகள் எப்படியாவது துவங்கவேண்டும் என்று செயல் படுபவர். மக்களுக்கு மகேசனின் பெருமைகளை அறிய வைப்பவர். மரம், செடி, கொடிகள் மண்டிக் கிடக்கும் ஆலயங்களில் உழவாரத் தொண்டு செய்பவர். இத்தகைய கோயில்களின் அவல நிலையைத் திருமடங்களின் பார்வைக்குக் கொண்டு வருபவர். இளம் வயதினராகிய இவர் திருநெல்வேலிச் சீமையைச் சேர்ந்தவர் என்று அறிகிறேன். தற்போது கும்பகோணத்தில் வசிக்கும் இவர் , காவி அணிந்த கோலத்துடன் எளிமையாகக் காணப் படுகிறார். ஜோதிமலை சுவாமிகள் என்று அன்பர்களால் அழைக்கப்படும் இவர், சிவாலயத் தொண்டு செய்யாத நாட்களே இல்லை எனலாம். > > > > >சோழ நாட்டில், குறிப்பாக, கும்பகோணம் பகுதியில் மரம் முளைத்துப்போயும், பூஜைகள் நின்று போயும் ஊர்மக்களால் கைவிடப்பட்ட கிராமக் கோயில்கள் ஏராளம். இப்படிப்பட்ட கோயில்களுக்கு நேரில் சென்று, அன்பர்களது உதவியுடன் உழவாரத் தொண்டு செய்தும், ஆலய சன்னதிகளைச் சுத்தம் செய்தும் மகத்தான சேவை செய்து வருகிறார் நம் ஸ்வாமிகள்.உழவாரப்பணியில் இவருக்கு உறுதுணையாக இருப்பவர்கள் சென்னையைச் சேர்ந்த அன்பர்கள். இவர்கள் மாதம் தோறும் கும்பகோணம் பகுதியிலுள்ள சிவாலயங்களில் உழவாரப் பணிசெய்கிறார்கள். >நாச்சியார் கோயில் அருகிலுள்ள துக்காச்சி என்ற ஊரிலுள்ள சிவாலயத்தின்பரிதாபநிலையைப் பற்றி சில மாதங்கள் முன்பு எழுதியிருந்தோம். இந்த ஆண்டு , அக்கோவிலில் மார்கழி மாத பூஜைகள் நடை பெற வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்துடன் , நம் ஸ்வாமிகள், சில அன்பர்களுடன் விடியற்காலை அங்கு சென்று, ஆலயத்தில் அபிஷேக ஆராதனை செய்து, வீதிகளில் ஊர்க் குழந்தைகளுடன் பஜனைசெய்துவிட்டு வருகிறார். ஞாயிற்றுக் கிழமைகளில் அக்குழந்தைகளுக்குத் தோத்திரங்கள் சொல்லிக் கொடுக்கிறார். இது போல ஊர் விட்டு ஊர் சென்று தொண்டு செய்பவர்களை நாம் பாராட்டுவதோடு அவர்களுக்கு நம்மாலான உதவி செய்ய வேண்டும். >நகரக் கோயில்களில் ஆங்கிலப் புத்தாண்டை முன்னிட்டு நீண்ட வரிசைகளில் மணிக் கணக்கில் காத்திருப்பவர்களில் சிலரது கவனமாவது கிராமத்துக் கோயில்களின் பக்கம் திரும்பினால் நன்றாக இருக்கும். தாங்கள் வசிக்கும் ஊருக்கு அருகிலுள்ள கிராமத்தில் இருக்கும் சிவாலயத்திற்கு அடிக்கடி செல்வதோடு ஊர்மக்களுக்கும் ஈடுபாடு வரும்படி செய்வது மிகவும் முக்கியம். புதிய கோவில்களைக் கட்டுவதை விட நம் முன்னோர்கள் கட்டி வைத்த ஆலயங்களை ஒழுங்காகப் பராமரிப்பதே சிறந்த சிவபுண்ணியம் ஆகும். >இந்த மார்கழி மாதத்தில் மட்டும் பலகோடிகளை உண்டியல் மூலம் ஈட்டும்ஆலயங்கள்அதில் சிறு பகுதியையாவது இத்தகைய காரியங்களுக்கு ஒதுக்கலாமே. சொல்வார் இல்லையா அல்லது கேட்பவர்கள் இல்லையா என்று நினைக்கத் தோன்றுகிறது. கிராமக் கோவில்களுக்குச் சென்றுவந்தால் கண்ணீர் தான் மிஞ்சுகிறது. மழை விட்டவுடன் மிக எளிதில் பிராகாரத்தில் வளர்ந்துள்ள சிறு செடிகளைப் பிடுங்கி எறியலாம். நிலம் காய்ந்தால், அதைக் களைய மண்வெட்டி தேவைப் படுகிறது. நிலம் ஈரமாக இருக்கும்போது, செடியை வேரோடு கையால் பிடுங்கமுடிகிறது. இதுபோன்ற எளிய வகையில் முடிந்த அளவு பணிகளைச் செய்ய அனைவரும் முன்வர வேண்டும். முன்னோடியாகவும்வழிகாட்டிகளாகவும்ஜோதிமலை சுவாமிகள் போன்றவர்கள் நிறைய பேர் தோன்றினால் தான் கோயில்களைப் பேரழிவிலிருந்து காப்பாற்ற முடியும். விமானங்களுக்கும் கோபுரங்களுக்கும் ப்ராகாரங்களுக்கும் மரங்களால் ஏற்பட்டுள்ள ஆபத்தைக் களைய அடியார் கூட்டத்தை அருளுமாறு ஆபத்சஹாயப் பெருமானை வேண்டுவோமாக. >Posted bySivapathasekaran Consecration of Siva temple at THALAYALANKADU
Amongst the siva shrines, which have have been sung in the Thevaram hyms, in the northern and southern side of the sacred Kaveri river is Thalayalangadu. This village located in Kodavasal taluk of Thiruvarur district, is well known for its rich heritage and history. This temple is the 93rd temple in the Thevara temples on the southern side of Kaveri. It is located 25 kms east of Kumbakonam en route to Thiruvarur. The nearest rail head is Thiruvarur, about 16 km away.
The temple more than 1400 years old is located on the banks of Chozha Chudamani river. As the name suggetss, this is supposed to be the primary shrine amongst the 'alangadu' shrines located around, in Tamilnadu - and hence known as Muka Vataaranyam,
This temple, worshipped by Kapila Maharishi is famous for the Sanka Theertham which is said to cure skin diseases. This shrine has Jack tree as the sthala vruksham and Lord Shiva had performed His cosmic dance on the back of “Muyalakan” in this place. Saint Appar has sung Thevaram Hymns in praise of the Lord. Saneeswara as “anugrahamurthi” has a small shrine at the entrance of the Goddess’ sannadhi. Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Paramacharya had visited the Temple every day in the morning during his 45 day stay in a nearby village.
The last Kumbabishekam was performed in July 1970 and the Temple had to be renovated and consecrated thereafter. Renovation work was carried out with the help of donors and the Maha- Kumbabishekam is slated to be performed on Sunday, 8th July 2012 between 10 A.M. and 11.30 A.M.

Consecration of Siva temple at Thugili
Amongst the siva shrines in Kaveri delta, the ancient Siva temple located at Thugili village has been taken up for consecration. The temple Sri Vedavalli ambika sametha sri Vedapuriswarar temple was in a dilapidated condition and has since been taken up for renovation by the villagers and philanthropists. The village is located in Thiruvidaimaridhur taluk of Thanjavur district on the northern banks of Kaveri river. This temple was worshipped by the four Vedas and Veda pandits with vastrarpanam and hence the name. The village gets its name comes from the legend that Lord Siva blessed Draupadi with "thugili" vastram.
The Maha-Kumbabishekam is slated to be performed on Sunday, 15th July 2012 (Nandana year, Aani 31st) between 10.15 A.M. and 12.00 noon. The yagasala pujas are set to commence from 12th July onwards accompanied by Veda parayanam and Thirumuraiparayanam. On the same day Kaliyamman temple consecration located in the village will also be consecrated.
