This temple is situated near Mayiladuthurai ,Athi wood was used to sculpt perumal idol which is 18 feet in height. It was considered first tallest idol in sanctum sanctorum of temples in India. King Sarafoji built praharams as he owed to fulfil commitment against blessed solutions showered by Perumal on him.
