I am now going through a book bought in Book Fair :
 
Pudhiya Kalvettum Pudhiya Vivadhamum - RajaRaja Cholanin Kanthalurch Chalai por by Dr C Ilango.
 
In His book Page No 76 he has refered our discussions on kandalur salai conquest.
 
It says that we having discussed about this and whether it is an university?
 
It also mentions that we having mentioned that the people maintaing the salai were all trained in martial arts.
 
For the question of why RRC destroyed the place the book mentions that we have mentioned that it is to avenge the murder of Aditya Karikala.
