Hi Friends, You would have probably heard of the Mattamayura sect of Shaivism as it is among the four most popular sects. Kadwaha is supposedly the town where this particular sect was founded by a Shaiva acharya, Purandara. Kadwaha has not less than two dozen temples of considerable antiquity and a Shaiva monastery.
