Hi Friends, Sindursi is a small village in Madhya Pradesh, where few rock cut carvings are found. Few people put these sculptures to the Gupta period, however few scholars have assigned a later phase. In my opinion, the execution is little different from the other Gupta sculptures seen elsewhere. However, I would like to have views of other members as well. There is an image of Vishnu as Sheshashai, Mahishasuramardini and a standing Vishnu image. There is an image of Narasimha as well.
