The Veena of Narada is called Mahati. The Veena of Saraswathi is Vipanchi
Nandhi an exponent of Mrudanga and Brungi a music expert.
Sama veda - base for music. Sama Veda Gandravam ( appar)
Though considered one of the oldest form of Music-
It adopted all styles. Baluswamy deekshidar adopted violin ( a western) instrument into Carnatic. Harmonium was also adopted to indian music.
Saxaphone, Clarinet, Mandolin all were accepted into indian system.
Muthuswami Deekshida adopted Hindusthani style also - Akilandeswari in dwajavanti is inspired by drupat.
He also adopted many westernnotes and composed songs like - Sakthi sahitha Ganapatim.
Thyagaraja also adopted some western notes - like Varaneetha Gana Lola
Carnatic Music adopts all modern things but dont know why we call people who don't change as Karnatakam.
Venkatamahi who structured Carnatic music was the great great garndfather of Kanchi Mahaswami.
Finally - The first part of the song "Adisaya Ragam" of Apoorva Ragangal film is tuned to the ragam Mahati. ( the second part is Bhairavi)
