Hi Friends, While studying the history of the Pallavas, Nandivarman II is shadowed in the highlighted majestic reigns of Mahendravarman, Mamalla and Rajasimha. However if we look into his reign then we find that this is one of the most eventful time during the history of this dynasty. Some characteristic of his reign are: 1. Ascended the throne at the age of twelve 2. Hailed from a collateral branch of the Pallavas 3. Faced attacks from Gangas, Rastrakutas, Pandyas, Chalukyas etc during his reign 4. Though he lost many of the battles, yet he was able to consolidate his strength to fight back again and get his kingdom back 5.
