veemeesam / Bhimesam are not padal petra thalangal directly but are vaipu thalam. Some of The vaiputhalams of Appar and many of Manickvasagar copuld not be located and referred by people differently.
There are some vaipu thalams in Andhra. One is near your place Vizag.
1. Thirukkarikkarai - Ramagiri near Nagalapuram. ( Sekkilar refers that both Appar and sambandar visited this place ans sung but the thevarams are lost. But one reference in Sundarar's thevaram is found) http://www.shaivam.org/siddhanta/sp/spt_v_tirukkarikkarai.htm
I learned about one more in Omandur and this one is the 5th one.
The veemeesam song of appar starts with Unjenai mahalam which is Ujjaini Mahakaleshwar. ( The other Mahakalas are 1. irumbai mahalam on Dindivanam - pondy road at thiruchitrambalam koot road,2. Amabar mahalam near karaikkal)
Unlike Sambandar and Sundarar who sung from Kalahasthi on Northern temples - Appar must have visited many temples on his Kailaya yattirai.
This Temple I have pointed to is located just off the Padappai _ Walajabad Road . I have attached a couple of more pictures. The inscribed pillar is said to be 12 feet long but most of it underground. S.kumaraswamy
This temple and three more in the road opposite to this Sereppenenjeri temple at Navalaur are being tried for renovation for the past 4 years by REACH FOUNDATION, known to our PS friends. If anyone can spear head a funds campaign for any specific project (temple) we can do the estimation, renovation etc.
