Friends,Two days seminar to commemorate 1000th year of Brihadiswara Temple,was conducted by ASI Chennai circle,on jan 21,22 at Thanjavur,Cultural Zone Center. Minister ThangamThennarasu inagurated the function.I was a participant.More than 20 scholars including DR,Nagasamy,Subbaraylu,Kalaikovan,Sargunam,Chenbagalakshmi,Sathyamurthy,Dayalan,were presented papers.Architectural marvel,construction procedures adapted,later additions,paintings, engineering skill,RRC expeditions,planned administration were the main topics.very informative and thought provoking symposium.
