Usually in vishnu temples only sadari will be kept on our head by priest. But in our native village Andar Nallur, near Papanasam in Thanjavur district, in sivan koil they usually keep sadari on our head. This custom is followed in Kanchi Ekambareswarar temple, Kalahasti and surutapalli.
