Hi all, That was good one from Sundar B and Kamal. I am just curious.. Where was Ganesha, when they idolized Somaskanda? According to the hindu mythology, isnt he Murugan's elder brother? (That's what I have seen in movies :) ) Anybody knows?

Lord G *is* the elder brother of Lord M, Thilak. [(kinda like Sri and you:-)- but I'm NOT trying to bring out comparisons!].
He is/was pretty popular in the North- but as it so happens, the only event I'm sure of the Pillaiyar that supposedly nestled in the walls of the fortress of Vathapi (the one Senathipathi Paranjyothi took away and brought to Thamizh Nadu). Legend says that this Pllaiyar is the one that can be found in Patteeswaram.
