I think Kalki didn't find enough evidence about the arabs while writing PS. He didn't know how strong the business relations were? Whether it was business with arabs was in "puzakkam" or the arabs were just beginning the trade ties? So he mentions few lines only. Also I dont think people then would have known the fact that arabs will be breaking hindu statues later!!!

Well!! This is news to me. I had no idea. Mr. Swaminathan mentioned that there was little info about Aavudaiyaar Koil - here'a another bit to add to it. Thanks for the info, Dr.Jaybee.
I also found mention about Avudaiyaar Koil in U.Ve.Sa's book 'En sariththiram'.
