documentation of chola murals at Rajarajesvaram
  • i am happy to inform all members that ASI has documented digitally all
the murals of the Chola period exposed so far in the PP of Ra'ram. As
many know, and definitely Gokul knows, that the main four are in
display at the Porul Vilakagam at the temple. This documentation helps
the viewers to look at the composition of the entire panels and not in
aprts as being published. I may post the panels soon. Gokul describes
a method and that is the only method to document the murals in his
articlea in varalaaru.com. By the he explained the method to us a year
ago we had succesfullly completed it. The credit goes to a young
photographer Mr Thiagarajan (9444254972)(29 yrs at that time). If any
had seen our work at the Interpretation centre please send your
    comments. Thank you
    Sriraman, ASI
